Dedicated Computing Creates a Makerspace for Associates
WAUKESHA, Wis., June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Dedicated Computing, a global technology company, announced the creation of a Makerspace called The Lab. The Lab, which stands for Learn, Apply & Build, is open to all company associates and gives them access to tools and resources which foster learning, collaboration and innovation.
The Lab is a workshop area for associates to share knowledge, work on personal projects and utilize their creativity. There is a variety of equipment for associates to use including a 3D printer, CNC machine, soldering and electronic assembly stations, Arduino and Raspberry Pi platforms, various sensors and discrete components, and PC workstations with 3D modeling and CAD software. Additionally The Lab provides video conferencing for remote offices, facilitated training and education classes on various technologies, and tools for associates to learn new skills and share their knowledge with others.
