Decision Insight Information Group Announces New Members to Their Executive Team
James Aikins as Chief Human Resource Officer, Stephen Bowater as Chief Financial Officer and Joshua Laterman as General Counsel
MILWAUKEE, June 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Decision Insight Information Group (DIIG) today announced the new members of its executive team: James Aikins as Chief Human Resources Officer, Stephen Bowater as Chief Financial Officer, and Joshua Laterman as General Counsel.
James Aikins will be responsible for attracting, developing and retaining top talent across DIIG's international footprint and supporting growth at each business unit. Prior to joining DIIG, Jim held top human resource positions with several global organizations, including World Kitchen, Graphic Packaging International, Altivity Packaging (a TPG company), US Can and ConAgra, among others. He obtained his BA from Marquette University and his Masters of Public Administration from the University of Missouri.
Stephen Bowater will have responsibility for all financial matters relating to the strategy and operations of the group. This includes oversight of accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, investor relations, treasury, risk management and tax and audit compliance activities. Prior to joining DIIG, Steve acted as Interim Chief Financial Officer for Nexeo Solutions, a TPG portfolio company. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Retail Operations at Supervalu, where he also held positions as Chief Financial Officer for the Midwest Region and Chief Financial Officer for Jewel-Osco. Prior to joining Supervalu in 2004, he spent eight years at PepsiCo in a variety of financial leadership roles at both a corporate and divisional level. Earlier in his career, Steve worked for Mobil Oil and BP in the U.S. and in Europe. He holds an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Joshua Laterman will be responsible for legal affairs of DIIG and its operating companies on a global basis. Joshua will build the DIIG legal team and head all matters relating to corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, protection of intellectual property rights, regulatory compliance and litigation management. Prior to joining DIIG, Joshua held top U.S. legal positions and advised financial institutions, including publicly traded French bank Natixis, privately held Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder, First Eagle Mutual Funds and NuVerse wealth management. Mr. Laterman obtained his BA from Cornell University and his JD from the University of Southern California Law Center. In addition, he has served as General Counsel for the KiDS of NYU Foundation, a charity focused on pediatric medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center since 2001.
