WILLIAMSPORT, Pa., Aug. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Election season is in full swing, but it's not Obama vs. Romney that will be drawing votes during the 66th Annual Little League World Series®. For little league fans, the real question is which taste of summer will prevail during the epic showdown between Hamburger and Hot Dog?

Delaware North Companies Sportservice – a global leader in sports hospitality and concessions provider at the Little League World Series for more than a decade – announced it will conduct an onsite vote, Aug. 20-21, during this year's tournament in Williamsport, Pa.
Little League fans under the age of 18 will be eligible to cast a ballot for either Hot Dog or Hamburger at the official voting booth, located near the main gift shop in historic Lamade Stadium. The booth will be open from the first pitch until the last out, both Monday and Tuesday.
Sportservice has designed menus for the Little League World Series that will focus on big league portions and family-friendly pricing. Considering the number of young children and families who attend the event, Sportservice works hard to design pricing that accommodates these fans. Beyond the ballparks staples – hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, peanuts and roasted almonds – Sportservice has healthy options, such as fresh-fruit cups, and carrots and celery sticks, at its Grab-n-Go location. For those seeking something on the sweet side, Sportservice has various ice cream carts, including Dippin' Dots.
Through its partnership with Food Network, Sportservice will also offer fans an Italian sausage hoagie, a burger with smoked mozzarella and salami, and a classic grilled-cheese sandwich.
To help staff the series, Sportservice will draw on its talent from various MLB ballparks at which it operates.
Sportservice got its start in the sports concession industry in the early 1900's and continues to hold contracts with numerous professional and minor league sports teams. The company handles some combination of concessions, premium dining and retail for 10 major league stadiums, including Busch Stadium in St. Louis and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington – the venues for last year's World Series.
Voting will be overseen onsite. The winners will be announced during the Little League World Series Championship Game.
