Decernis Strengthens Position as the Leading Provider of Product Safety

WASHINGTON, March 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Decernis LLC (http://www.decernis.com) and Decernis GmbH announced today that Dr. Rudolf (Ruud) Overbeek joined the company as the Chief, Business Development & Strategy. In this role, Dr. Overbeek will lead the company's expansion of our market position and outreach, and to ensure that we swiftly respond to our clients' needs.

Dr. Overbeek most recently served as Vice President of Global Health & Environmental Services and Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals North America for Intertek. At Intertek, Dr. Overbeek directed and delivered solutions enabling customers to ensure safety, quality, and performance of new and existing products. He has been granted over twenty patents and formerly received the DuPont Award for outstanding research.

Prior to joining Intertek, Ruud worked for Avantium Technologies as Vice President of Intellectual Assets & Licensing, Business Development, Operations and Discovery. He started his career in ABB Lummus Global as Technology Development Manager. Ruud is a member of a number of Associations including The Royal Dutch Chemical Society, the Dutch Catalysis Society and was appointed to the Health and Beauty America (HBA) Scientific Advisory Board. Ruud was awarded the DuPont Chemical Company Prize for Outstanding Independent Research and holds a Doctorate in Catalysis and a Master and Bachelors in Chemistry from Utrecht University. He has been granted over twenty patents.
