Decernis Continues to Expand Position as the Leading Provider of Product Safety

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Decernis LLC (http://www.decernis.com), the leading provider of technology and content solutions for product compliance, safety, and risk management announced today that Dr. Robert Fellous joined the company as Senior Director Scientific Affairs. In this role, Dr. Fellous will lead the company's development in the Health & Beauty and Home & Personal Care product industries. In addition, he will support flavor and fragrance and ingredient companies that are suppliers to these industries. Finally, as a seasoned toxicologist, he will be applying his experience in expanding our capabilities in safety assessments services and tools and to develop proactive risk analysis approaches to meet emerging market requirements.

Prior to joining Decernis, Dr. Fellous spent six years at Intertek in a role leading the global business line for healthcare and beauty products. During this time, Dr. Fellous launched Regulatory and Safety consulting teams, managed Clinical and Analytical Testing Services, and more. Before that, Robert spent 6 years as Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs for the Scent and Care Division of Symrise. He furthermore held various senior roles with International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF), L'Oreal, and Medibridge. Dr. Fellous has held a number of eminent industry positions, such as the Chair of the EFFA REACh Task Force and Fragrance Expert Committee and the COLIPA-AISE-EFFA Joint Perfumery Steering & Safety Group.

Dr. Fellous received his PhD in Pharmacology from Université Paris Descartes before attending the University of California, Berkeley where he gained a post-doctoral fellowship in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Fellous also holds an INSEAD MBA.
