KISSIMMEE, Fla., June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- From more than 1,500 entries and five finalists, Experience Kissimmee today announced Brooke Shuff from Grand Rapids, Mich. as Decade of Kissimmee Memories contest Grand Prize winner.

Brooke was awarded 10 vacations to experience all the excitement and entertainment in Kissimmee, Fla., located minutes from Orlando's world-famous theme parks and attractions. The Grand Prize includes airfare, accommodations at Westgate Vacation Villas, and rental car for 10 Kissimmee vacations with five guests. Brooke and four additional finalists created videos to illustrate their Decade of Kissimmee Memories dream and competed on Facebook for the most votes to win the Grand Prize.

Families across the nation will relate with Brooke's video. In Grand Rapids, Mich., where the average winter temperature is around 26 degrees, Brooke's video featured her children bundling up to enjoy more than 50 inches of annual snow while daydreaming about sunshine, theme parks, and family fun in Kissimmee, Fla.

Before the Grand Prize announcement, the five Decade of Kissimmee Memories finalists and their families visited Kissimmee for a weekend preview, complete with ShrekFeast character breakfast at Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, new Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin attraction at SeaWorld Orlando, up-close encounters with wildlife on Boggy Creek Airboat Rides, VIP access to the spectacular Arabian Nights Dinner Attraction, and a lively pool party at Westgate. Brooke was surprised with the Grand Prize at a special luncheon event with Experience Kissimmee this afternoon.
