Deborah L. Morrison is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Safety Management
WETUMPKA, Ala., March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Throughout her 31 years of experience in the Environmental Health and Safety profession, Deborah has learned and accomplished a great deal. She has had numerous successes in her career and believes that her proudest moment to date occurred while working as the Occupational Safety and Health Manager at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. In this capacity, she was responsible for ensuring that a two campus facility with 6 outpatient based clinics met all the OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and JC requirements in order to make certain that everyone had a safe environment to work, get well, and visit in. Highly regarded for her dedication and practical knowledge, she attributes her success, commitment, perseverance, and hard work to her father who instilled in her the value of a positive attitude and a willingness to put 120% of her time at any workplace she may be a part of.
Deborah's vast experience encompasses Safety; Life Safety; Hazardous Materials and Waste Management; Emergency Management; Strategic Planning; and Administration. Her expertise in the field of Safety led to her role as the developer of an Emergency Management Guidebook for staff to have easy access to information regarding what to do during an emergency and/or disaster. Additionally, Deborah wrote the management plans for the VISN medical centers that include Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, which was also accepted by the Joint Commission as a tool to be shared with other medical centers in the United States.
Currently, Deborah is certified as a Health Care Safety Professional at the Master Level and also holds certification as a Fire Safety Manager. She compliments this impressive resume with an equally inspiring agenda to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and a number of charities that benefit autism, as well as other diseases that may occur in young children. She and her husband also donate to the Victory Junction Camp for children and to the Project Warrior. In her spare time she loves to listen to oldies and easy listening music and spend time with her daughter and granddaughter.
