WETUMPKA, Ala., May 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- /Continental Who's Who/ -- Deborah Morrison is the chief safety management service for the Central Alabama Veterans' Health Care System. The health care system covers two campuses (Montgomery and Tuskegee, AL) six outpatient clinics, and a Vet Center. Plus, the facility is planning to expand in 2013 with a brand new clinic in Montgomery, Opelika and Monroeville, Alabama. Deborah is a veteran herself and has more than 30 years' experience that encompasses safety/life safety/ hazardous materials and waste management, emergency management, strategic planning and administration. In her current capacity, she is responsible for the Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Management standards established by the Joint Commission. In addition, she oversees a 16 manned fire department, GEMS Coordinator, Industrial Hygienist, Safety Specialist and a Program Assistant. Deborah has been complimented by several JC surveyors on the management plans she has developed and the Veterans' Integrated Southeast Network medical centers have adopted her plans in preparation for JC. She developed an Emergency Management Guidebook for the staff to have an easy access on what to do during an emergency and/or disaster. Deborah is a valued member of several organizations including the National Association of Professional Women, Presidential and Biltmore Who's Who. Highly regarded for her dedication and practical knowledge, she attributes her success in commitment, perseverance and hard work to her father who made it known that it takes a person with an "I care" attitude and willingness to put 120% of her time at the job. Deborah is certified as a health care safety professional at the Master Level and fire safety manager. She's currently pursuing her certification in Emergency Management. She complements this impressive resume with an equally inspiring agenda to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and a number of charities that benefits autism, as well as other diseases that may occur in young children. She and her husband also donate to the Victory Junction Camp for children that have a handicap and to Project Warrior (veterans that serve their country).
