Debbie M. Schaum is recognized by Continental Who's Who

ORMOND BEACH, Fla., March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Debbie M. Schaum is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Professional in the field of Higher Education. Debbie is a Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Beginning her career in the United States Air Force as a meteorologist, Debbie spent seventeen years in the military before retiring at the rank of Major. It was in the air force where she attained incredible meteorology and weather experience that has provided her with a lifetime of knowledge and skills.

Debbie has been a meteorologist for thirty seven years and has been at Embry Riddle for the past twenty-one years where she develops curriculum standards for students with interests in aviation, aerospace and meteorology.

A female in a male-dominated industry, Debbie states her key to success is "not giving up." She has always striven to show her skills and even when the air force told her she wouldn't be able to do certain things, she would still find a way to do it.

Throughout the course of her studies, she graduated from Webster University with her Master's degree in Management following her Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Missouri System –Columbia.

In the future, Debbie would like to attain her Ph.D. in Meteorology and to continue inspiring young girls and sparking an interest in math and science. She is presently a volunteer at local schools and mentors foster children and the physically challenged.
