Dealsplus Releases Mobile App for Shopping and Saving

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Dealsplus has announced that they have released a new mobile app designed to help consumers shop online by bringing relevant coupons and deals directly to a shopper's iPhone. The Dealsplus app, unlike many of the couponing apps available, focuses on products and the shopping experience, not on coupon codes. This shift in focus provides consumers with a new, more visually immersive way to shop and save online. The Dealsplus app also fixes a flaw in most couponing apps that requires a shopper to leave the app in order to complete a purchase.

In other apps a shopper is often required to select a coupon before shopping. If the coupon fails to work or doesn't match what a shopper ultimately purchases, the shopper needs to abandon the shopping session, select a new coupon and start over from the beginning. "It is a huge design flaw in all the other apps out there and obviously a problem that needed to be fixed," says Jacob Chapman, Dealsplus' VP of Corporate Strategy. Dealsplus has addressed this concern with a proprietary shop first, save second technology which enables shoppers to easily switch between coupons during the shopping process.
