Deadline for Georgia Private Non-Profit Organizations to Apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans is Dec. 8

ATLANTA, Nov. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration reminds Private Non-Profit Organizations (PNPs) in Georgia that Dec. 8 is the deadline to submit Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications.  These loans are available from the SBA as a result of severe winter storms from Feb. 10 – 14, 2014.

Loans are available to PNPs in Baldwin Bulloch, Burke, Butts, Candler, Carroll, Columbia, Coweta, Dade, Emanuel, Fannin, Fayette, Fulton, Gilmer, Glascock, Habersham, Hancock, Haralson, Heard, Jasper, Jefferson, Jenkins, Johnson, Jones, Lamar, Madison, McDuffie, Meriwether, Monroe, Morgan, Newton, Pickens, Pike, Richmond, Screven, Spalding, Taliaferro, Twiggs, Upson, Walker, Warren, Washington, White, Whitfield, and Wilkes counties in Georgia. 

The SBA offers Economic Injury Disaster Loans to help eligible non-critical PNP organizations meet their working capital needs such as ongoing operating expenses.  Examples of eligible
non-critical PNP organizations include, but are not limited to food kitchens, homeless shelters, museums, libraries, community centers and colleges.

This assistance is available regardless of whether the organization suffered any physical property damage.  Loan amounts can be up to $2 million and interest rate of 2.625 percent with terms up to 30 years.  The SBA sets loan amounts and terms based on each applicant's financial condition.

The filing deadline to return economic injury applications is December 8, 2014.
