Parkmobile, a leading provider of mobile payment solutions to municipalities and parking providers around the world, announced today that its mobile payment for parking program exceeded 1.5 million transactions in The District since the start in July 2011.

With the Parkmobile solution, DC residents and visitors can easily pay for parking using their cell phone. Already more than 70% of parking transactions are conducted via Parkmobile mobile apps. The DC program shows one of the highest volumes of mobile app payments in the US.
