DDB Worldwide's Alma DDB and DDB Stockholm Awarded by Advertising Age and Creativity
NEW YORK, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- DDB Worldwide's Alma DDB was named to Advertising Age's A-List and DDB Stockholm won Global Standout on Creativity's Top Five Honor Roll today as the sister publications announced their picks for best agencies of 2009.
DDB New Zealand also was named runner-up for Advertising Age's International Agency of the Year.
The recognition follows DDB Worldwide's selection as Global Agency Network of the Year by Campaign and Tribal DDB's win of Media's Digital Agency of the Year title.
In naming Alma DDB to the A-List, Ad Age said, "Being Latino is increasingly about moving easily between different worlds, and Alma DDB is a perfect bridge between those worlds, and into the future of a diverse America."
The Advertising Age report saluted DDB Stockholm's "inventive, platform-agnostic campaigns that always seem to strike a human note," singling out the "Fun Theory" campaign for Volkswagen as a "viral sensation and one of Creativity's top picks for 2009." The campaign is, the editors noted, "the kind of big, scalable, participatory idea that should serve as a model for brand creativity in the '10s."
Chuck Brymer, President and CEO of DDB Worldwide, said, "From Cannes to the Gunn Report to The Big Won our agencies demonstrated their consistency at developing game-changing ideas that produce results and underscored our fundamental belief that creativity is the most powerful force in business."
