NEW YORK, March 3, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- DCP Entertainment, a media production and distribution company curating pivotal conversations, today announced the launch of PM Mood, a podcast hosted by political commentator and progressive advocate Danielle Moodie-Mills, well-known for her weekly MSNBC appearances and fierce advocacy for social and racial justice.
Building on the success of her 2020 election-focused show democracy-ish, co-hosted with journalist Touré, and daily political talk show WokeAF Daily, Danielle's PM Mood will offer a weekly one-on-one sit down with leading activists, celebrities, academics, and artists who are successfully shifting cultural norms, and utilizing their platforms to maximize social impact.
In the current cultural climate, most people want to withdraw from politics altogether — however the conversations happening on Danielle's new show will get listeners back in the PM Mood to change the world.
Initial episodes will include notable guests such as Rashad Robinson, President of Color of Change, who details the advocacy that led PayPal to halt payment processing for white nationalist organizations in 2017; journalist and activist Jemele Hill, who discusses what truth-telling means in journalism and the benefits of being personally singled out by the Trump administration; and journalist Ed Gordon, who speaks to society's shifts since the 1970s and how Black Americans across the political spectrum can be more activated in the modern era.
"I want our audience to feel emboldened," Danielle said. "We're living in a precarious political climate, and unlike some of my other work that centers on current events, PM Mood is an opportunity to step back and reflect on where we are, what's been accomplished, what works, and how we strategically push forward, through the lens of those who are impacting change on a daily basis."
"Like everything Danielle does, this show is incredibly bold, honest and real," adds Chris Colbert, CEO of DCP Entertainment. "PM Mood provides an alternative for those succumbing to the pessimism of this moment in our country's story, while embodying DCP's mission to bring underrepresented voices and stories to the forefront."
The first episode of PM Mood is available now on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher and anywhere podcasts are available.
