dck-ecc pacific guam, llc Awarded $46.6 Million Design-Build Project at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe, Hawaii
BURLINGAME, Calif., May 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- dck-ecc pacific guam, llc (dck-ecc) was awarded a $46.6 million project from NAVFAC Hawaii to design and construct the 30,709-square-foot FY12 MILCON P-822 Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Operations Complex, 17,104-square-foot Aircraft Fire and Rescue Station (AFRS), over 348,000 square feet of aircraft apron, and related site improvements at Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe, Hawaii.
"Our team strategized throughout the proposal process to creatively incorporate value-added enhancements into our design, which significantly increases energy efficiency and reduces overall life-cycle facility costs for the Navy," commented John Fern, Senior Program Manager for ECC. dck-ecc integrated creative strategies into the state-of-the-art Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver-certifiable facilities that achieve Navy priorities for energy efficiency, facility security, and effective working environments for users and visitors. The team incorporated three desired design features requested by the Navy plus 17 additional dck-ecc identified betterments that will improve energy efficiency and reduce the cost of total ownership of each facility.
The facilities are scheduled for completion in September 2014.
