DCH Auto Group Offers Free Safety Inspections for Teen Drivers
The dealership group is hosting events and calling attention to teen driving safety as part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month
SOUTH AMBOY, N.J., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- DCH Auto Group is calling attention to teen driving safety this May as part of National Youth Traffic Safety Month. Throughout May, all DCH Auto Group Dealerships in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and California are offering a free vehicle safety inspection for any car, truck or SUV operated by a teen. Any makes and models. A written evaluation will be provided so if repairs need to be made the vehicle can be taken to any repair facility.
May is an important time for teens to be focused on driving safety. With prom, graduation, and summer trips just ahead, the potential for traffic-related deaths and injuries that involve young drivers and passengers increases alarmingly. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says traffic crashes are the leading killer of teens, with more than 5,000 dying annually. That's why DCH Auto Group and its partners, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS), are raising awareness all month long to educate teens about safe driving habits.
"Thousands of teens tragically die and thousands more are critically injured each year in car crashes," said Shau-wai Lam, Chairman of DCH Auto Group. "By offering free safety inspections this May, continuing our efforts with our safe driving initiative all year long and generally calling attention to teen safe driving, we at DCH are hoping to change that."
In addition to free vehicle safety inspections for teen drivers, many DCH Auto Group dealerships will be holding events at the company's dealerships to educate teens about driving safety, including:
- May 15 – DCH Auto Group dealerships in Temecula, CA will be hosting a safe driving demonstration and "DCH Temecula's Got Talent" talent contest with a $500 first price.
- May 15 – DCH Freehold Nissan in Freehold, NJ will be hosting a safe driving demonstration – Say No to Texting and Driving. The event will also have free food and giveaway.
- May 22 – DCH Auto Group dealerships in Oxnard, CA along with some of their vendors will be hosting "Keep It Out Of Cars Day." Activities include a safe driving demonstration, a back yard boogie with food, fun, music, prizes and much, much more!
- May 22 – DCH Freehold Toyota in Freehold, NJ will be holding a "Mindless Driving. Keep It Out of Cars" Barbecue.
- May 27 – DCH Honda of Lemon Grove in Lemon Grove, CA will be hosting local radio personality "GinaTheLatina" as she broadcasts live from the dealership and takes student questions about safe driving.
"We're really excited about these events," said Randall Holt, Parts and Service Manager for DCH Toyota of Oxnard. "It's a fun and free way to get young people educated about driving safety."
