DC-Based LEVICK Opens Texas Office, Solidifying Presence In Four Of The Top Five Biggest States In USA

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LEVICK today announced the acquisition of the MACH 1 Group, which adds Austin, Texas as the latest geographic expansion of this rapidly growing integrated strategic communications agency. LEVICK was named one of the 2015 Fast Movers by the Holmes Report earlier this year, based on a growth rate of more than 40 percent.

LEVICK's Texas office in Austin will be led by Senior Vice President Katherine McLane, founder of the former MACH 1 Group and a veteran of the former Austin-based Public Strategies. She served in the George W. Bush Administration, where she led media relations for the Department of Education, and served in key communications and press roles for former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. Before founding her own firm, she led communications and crisis response for the LIVESTRONG Foundation. She was named 2013 PR Professional of the year by the Public Relations Society of America.

Earlier this year, LEVICK also hired longtime Austin native and Texas political and public affairs operative Hans Klingler, who recently served as chief of staff to two members of the U.S. Congress from Texas, Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul and Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling.

LEVICK's Austin office is the latest geographical expansion and adds to the firm's existing presence in Washington, New York, Chicago, and Miami.
