Daymon Foundation Will Donate $4,000 To Support Associate-Nominated Charities
STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Daymon Foundation, the philanthropic arm of global consumables retail leader Daymon Worldwide, announced today that it will award $4,000 in grants to four associate-nominated charities: Voices Against Brain Cancer, Kids Against Hunger, United Way (San Antonio, TX) and Boys and Girls Clubs of America (Rochester, NY).
As part of the foundation's mission to give back to communities where associates live and work, the Daymon Foundation Steering Committee reviews nominations of associate fundraising efforts and periodically awards grants to those nonprofits best aligned with the foundation's guiding principles.

- Voices Against Brain Cancer, nominated by associates in Stamford, CT, is a national organization working to find a cure for brain cancer by advancing scientific research, increasing awareness with the medical community and supporting patients, their families and caregivers.
- Kids Against Hunger, nominated by associates in Cincinnati, OH, packages highly nutritious, life-saving meals for starving and malnourished children and their families in the US and developing countries.
- United Way, nominated by associates in San Antonio, TX, improves lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good.
- The Boys and Girls Club of Rochester, NY, nominated by a local team of associates, provides youth development programs that enable young people to acquire the skills and qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
