Daylight Medical's New Portable, Powerful UVC Technology Disinfects High-Touch Surfaces in Seconds

CLEVELAND, March 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Daylight Medical is pleased to announce the launch of MoonBeam3 Disinfection Technology, a practical innovation proven to decrease germs contributing to hospital-acquired infections (HAIs). In a 180-second cycle, MoonBeam3 achieves a 3-5 log* reduction (99.9 to 99.999%) in pathogens such as MRSA, VRE, MDR-gram negative, Norovirus and C.diff spores. The automated technology is designed for seamless integration into the demanding workflow of Environmental Services (EVS) departments, providing rapid and effective room cleans.

MoonBeam3's portable, compact form factor houses three individually adjustable UVC heads, each generating a broad umbrella of intense, 254 nanometer wavelength germicidal light. The articulating heads can be positioned vertically and horizontally from one foot off the ground to more than seven feet high. This versatility enables users to easily place the heads where needed, enabling multiple surfaces to be simultaneously disinfected with maximum UVC exposure. MoonBeam3 eliminates long cycle times, effectively disinfecting targeted surfaces in as little as 90 seconds. Users can also select three, five and ten minute applications.
