Davis Vision Joins Amigos For Kids And Ford Motor Company Fund At Their 23rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive To Provide Vision Screenings, Eye Exams And Prescription Eye Glasses At No Charge
Making hundreds of South Florida children's wishes come true
MIAMI, Dec. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- On Sunday, December 14th, Amigos For Kids, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect, along with its partner, Ford Motor Company Fund, spread Holiday cheer with its 23rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive.
Davis Vision, was proud to participate in this year's festivities by providing onsite eye screenings to over 120 students to check for vision impairments. As part of Davis Vision's Focus on America® "Kids First," program, children in need of further screening received a voucher for a complimentary in-office comprehensive eye exam at a local Visionworks location as well as prescription eyeglasses, if needed, for free.
Celebrities on hand to help spread the cheer and deliver the toys included: Aleyda Ortiz, Ana Maria Canseco, Andrea Escalona, Carlos Gastlelun, Carlos Mejia, Carolina Gomez, Carolina Sandoval, Catherine Siachoque, Daniela Navarro, Felipe Viel, Felix de Bedout, Gabriel Coronel, Gabriel Valenzuela, Gabriela Rivero, Gloria Penate, Greidys Gil, Jessica Cerezo, Karent Sierra, Cary Musa, Lili Estefan, Maite Embil, Mario Vannucci and Pamela Silva-Conde.
As is tradition, the 23rd Annual Holiday Toy Drive is a gift-giving program that fulfills the individual "Wish Lists" of underprivileged children. The daylong joy-filled caravan featuring Santa Claus, local celebrities, community leaders and volunteers made stops in Florida City and Little Havana.
