David Weil joins CamberView Partners as Senior Advisor

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- CamberView Partners, LLC, the leading source of independent, investor-led advice for public companies on shareholder activism and investor engagement, is pleased to announce that David Weil, the founder and former CEO of iiWisdom, and former Managing Director in the Investment Banking Divisions of both Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch, has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. David also currently serves as an Advisor and Executive-in-Residence at Warburg Pincus.

Prior to joining CamberView, David partnered with BlackRock to launch iiWisdom, a provider of interactive governance solutions for public companies and their investors.  In this role, he worked closely with the world's largest asset managers to develop both an online platform for public company communication with investors as well as in-person events such as the Fall Engagement Summit that help facilitate closer relationships between public companies and their investors. iiWisdom sold the interactive proxy business to Institutional Shareholder Services in mid-2016. David will continue to organize and host the Fall Engagement Summit in partnership with CamberView and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.

During his two-decade career as an investment banker, David served as a trusted advisor to companies throughout the Media and Technology landscape. He advised clients such as Time Warner, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters and Nielsen on a wide range of strategic transactions, including contested situations.
