David T. Grinbergs, DO, FACEP, Joins TeamHealth as President, Emergency Medicine
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- TeamHealth announced today the appointment of David T. Grinbergs, DO, FACEP, as President, Emergency Medicine Division effective June 1, 2011. This appointment strengthens TeamHealth's joint leadership philosophy by pairing physicians with business professionals throughout the organization, contributing to ongoing growth and success while ensuring a physician-friendly environment committed to advancing patient care.

Dr. Grinbergs has successfully led several healthcare organizations during his professional career and comes to TeamHealth from EmCare Inc., where he served as a physician executive since 2004. In his most recent role, Dr. Grinbergs served the largest division of EmCare as Chief Executive Officer.
Dr. Grinbergs received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine & Bioscience in Kansas City, Mo.; completed a Surgery internship at University of Nebraska-College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb.; completed an Emergency Medicine residency at Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Chicago, Ill.; and has additional residency training in Anesthesiology. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians, the American College of Physician Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
