David Shane Joins Finn Partners as Senior Partner, Deputy Managing Director, FP West
Deep Expertise in Entertainment, Media, Technology and Corporate Communications
LOS ANGELES, May 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Finn Partners announced today the appointment of David Shane as Senior Partner, Deputy Managing Director, of its west coast operations. Shane will be based in Los Angeles and report to Howard Solomon, managing partner, FP West.
Shane's more than 20 years' experience in technology, entertainment, media and corporate communications includes senior positions with several of the world's most innovative brands including Comcast, International Creative Management and Hewlett-Packard. Shane was recently chief communications officer for Relativity where he developed global communication strategy and oversaw communications for each of the company's divisions, including film, television, digital, sports and branded entertainment. Most recently, he has led his own consulting firm where he has partnered with numerous clients in sectors ranging from media to global retail and e-commerce.

Shane's background also includes deep expertise in crisis communications and reputation management. Most recently, he navigated Relativity through complex Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. At Hewlett-Packard, where Shane served as vice president, corporate external communications, he was instrumental in leading strategic communications efforts for more than $20 billion in M&A activity and handled crisis communications around the globe.

Shane began his career in television news at CBS in Philadelphia, and later, was appointed vice president, communications for Comcast, which brought him to Los Angeles.
Honored with numerous accolades for his work, Shane has won an Emmy Award and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, The Arthur W. Page Society and the University of Pennsylvania's Southern California Regional Advisory Board. He holds a BA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania.
