David "Mac" McWhorter joins Institutional Real Estate, Inc. as Executive Director of the Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies

SAN RAMON, Calif. and NEW YORK, Aug. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Institutional Real Estate, Inc. (IREI) announced today that David McWhorter has joined IREI as Executive Director of the Institute for Real Estate Operating Companies (iREOC).

Mr. McWhorter has more than 30 years of institutional real estate investment experience. Prior to joining IREI, he spent nearly three years as head of investor relations at Carmel Partners, directing the group's activities to meet the product, information and communication needs of Carmel's investors. For the 10 years prior to joining Carmel, Mr. McWhorter was the director of investor relations for the Western United States at AEW Capital Management, where he also served as the firm's U.S. public funds market specialist. Earlier in his career, he also served as global director of property business development at Henderson Global Investors and managing director at Heitman Investment Management.
