David Jamison Joins the PureSense Team as Senior Agronomist

FRESNO, Calif., June 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- PureSense Environmental Inc., the leader in real-time irrigation-management solutions, has added David Jamison to its team as a senior agronomist.  Jamison brings more than two decades of experience in agricultural production and hands-on ag-software development — including leading edge work in irrigation scheduling and technology-based resource allocation — to his new position at PureSense.  He will be focused on ensuring that the company's products and solutions are well-aligned with grower requirements.  Jamison will consult with growers frequently and work closely with the experienced PureSense team to drive product development for maximum benefit.

Before joining PureSense, Jamison worked as an "in-house" agronomist for a large farming operation in Kern County.  While there, he not only designed databases to gain greater insight into proper irrigation management, but he was also able to move beyond irrigation to work with a computer programmer to design complete ranch systems.  Created in modules, these systems were used to track all harvest operations, labor, pollination, purchasing, and post-harvest data, including revenue.  The result was a much more efficient and effective farming operation that paid substantial dividends to the grower.

Jamison also has experience with another private irrigation consultant, where he worked with agronomic modeling and designed various methods of managing resources, and at the University of California's Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center — the UC's largest off-campus agricultural research facility.

Jamison received his bachelor's degree in biology-botany from California State University, Fresno, and earned a master's degree in plant science, also from Fresno State.  He is a lifelong resident of Clovis, California.  Jamison is married, and he and his wife, Lisa, have two children.
