David F. Browne Joins Paine & Partners as Principal
NEW YORK, CHICAGO and SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Paine & Partners, LLC ("Paine & Partners") announced that David F. Browne has joined Paine & Partners as a Principal in the firm's New York City office. Mr. Browne will work on new investment opportunities and with management teams of existing portfolio companies.

Mr. Browne most recently served as Managing Director, Control Distressed Debt at GSC Group, a private investment firm specializing in control distressed debt investments, where he sourced, executed and monitored various investments since 2007. Mr. Browne was previously an Associate at Lindsay Goldberg & Bessemer L.P. from 2003 to 2005, and an Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston from 2001 to 2003. Mr. Browne holds a Masters of Business Administration with the highest distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and an A.B. in Government from Harvard College, where he graduated summa cum laude.
