Industry Veteran Joins as Big Data Innovator Scales Up to Meet Explosive Market Demand
PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Infoworks.io, the leading provider of software solutions for agile data engineering, announced today that it has named former AT&T Chairman and CEO David Dorman as Chairman of the Board. The company also announced separately today that Buno Pati has been appointed as CEO, moving from his prior role as Executive Chairman, and co-founder Amar Arsikere has transitioned from CEO to Chief Product Officer and CTO.
Mr. Dorman is presently Chairman of the Board at CVS Health Corporation and a member of the boards at Dell Technologies and PayPal Holdings, Inc. He has previously served in various executive leadership roles in the telco industry, including Chairman and CEO of AT&T; Chairman of the Board of Motorola; Chairman, President and CEO of Pacific Bell; and President of Sprint Business.
"I am excited to work with this remarkable team on a mission to empower enterprises to organize, manage and utilize data as they strive to compete in the rapidly evolving digital economy," said David Dorman, Chairman of Infoworks. "Digital transformation is an existential imperative for enterprises and analytics agility is a prerequisite. I have seen first-hand how Infoworks' automation has enabled large enterprises to achieve analytics agility without hiring armies of big data specialists. With the right product at exactly the right time, Infoworks has the potential to quickly become an important industry leader in this large and growing market."
"We are honored and delighted to have David join as Chairman of our Board of Directors," said Buno Pati, CEO of Infoworks. "David's insights, experience and expertise as a leader of large organizations will be invaluable as we as we scale our ability to meet the massive market demand that we are experiencing."
Companies are increasingly focused on utilizing their data to transform customer experience and decision making to gain a competitive edge. To date, their efforts toward this transformation have been complicated by the need to deploy a complex set of technologies and tools requiring deep and scarce expertise. On average, data scientists spend 80% of their time organizing and preparing data and only 20% of their time on the analytics. Infoworks' Autonomous Data Engine automates data engineering from ingest to analytics, enabling companies to convert data into value ten to one hundred times faster with one-tenth of the resources otherwise needed, which enables enterprises to shift their investment to the analytics and achieve business agility.
