David Corkum joins Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota as senior vice president of commercial markets
EAGAN, Minn., Dec. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) today announced the appointment of David Corkum as its senior vice president, commercial markets. In this role he will be responsible for providing leadership for sales, marketing and product development, and will serve as a member of Blue Cross' operating committee.

Corkum comes to Blue Cross with extensive experience in health care, sales and account management. He most recently comes from Aetna International, London, as group managing director he was responsible for health and specialty product sales and led all business segments including individual, small and large accounts. He also served in various leadership roles with Aetna and Prudential Healthcare.

A native of Connecticut, Corkum has a B.S. degree in finance from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT.
