David A. Vennergrund Named Director of Business Analytics for Delta Solutions and Technologies, Inc.

RESTON, Va., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Delta Solutions and Technologies, Inc., a fast-growing provider of financial management systems, IT services and consulting to the U.S. Government, today announced that David A. Vennergrund has been appointed to serve as the firm's first Director of Business Analytics, to focus on predictive analytics, fraud detection, and business intelligence.

Vennergrund comes to Delta Solutions with over 20 years of IT management, development, and research experience. He most recently served as Director of the Business Intelligence Practice at SRA International. Prior to joining SRA in 1996, Vennergrund developed software and artificial intelligence solutions for the Federal and intelligence community, led research teams, and managed staff at PRC, TRW, and GTE.

Vennergrund, a member of The Data Warehouse Institute and former co-chair of the Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) conference, has published and presented papers on a range of computer science and functional topics including data mining, fraud detection, business intelligence, genetic algorithms, expert systems, data fusion, and exploratory software development lifecycle models.  He holds a BS (University of Illinois) and MS (Arizona State University) in Computer Science.
