Davenport University Launches Competency-Based MBA

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Davenport University's Donald W. Maine College of Business is launching a new Competency-Based Master of Business Administration (CMBA) designed specifically for experienced business professionals who wish to receive credit based on their demonstrated competencies. This enhanced MBA program will be offered online beginning in January 2015.

Davenport's CMBA provides credit recognition for professional competencies in MBA subject areas based on direct assessments, allowing students to progress more quickly toward achievement of their MBA degree. With continuous modules, the CMBA can be completed in less than a year, depending on the number of transfer credits, credit for prior learning, and pace at which a student progresses through the modules and assessments.
