Datotel Begins 2011 With Strong Revenue Growth, Eight New Hires
Building on a successful 2010, the St. Louis-based enterprise cloud computing provider adds $1.75 million in contracted revenue in the first quarter of 2011
ST. LOUIS, June 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- St. Louis-based Datotel, LLC, a state-of-the-art cloud computing and colocation provider, is announcing contracted revenue growth of more than $1.75 million in the first quarter of 2011. To support the new business, Datotel also is pleased to announce the addition of eight new employees in 2011.
"I'm very happy with the accomplishments and hard work of our employees in continuing to bring innovative information technology and management services to companies and organizations throughout the St. Louis area," said David Brown, president of Datotel. "We're experiencing strong growth as more and more businesses look to IT specialists to provide critical technology services and information access that support their business operations."
After completing 2010 with revenue exceeding $6 million, Datotel recently added 5,000 square-feet to their existing location in the historic Globe-Democrat building in downtown St. Louis.
"As we grow, we're excited to add new talent to the Datotel team to maintain our high standard of quality and customer service," said Brown. The eight new additions to the staff are across several areas of the company, including marketing and engineering.
The versatility of cloud computing services can provide benefits to an array of businesses and organizations, which is reflected in the diverse roster of new clients Datotel added during the first quarter, including: Meridian Health, Buckingham Asset Management, The Musketeer Group and Catholic Charities.
In addition, Datotel is assisting the Greater St. Louis Area Council of Boy Scouts of America in transitioning and upgrading their IT services, which includes IT consulting as well as on-demand service and support.
"Datotel is providing us with excellent service and support at a critical time," said Ronald S. Green, Scout Executive/Chief Executive Officer of the Greater St. Louis Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. "We are making some very complicated and challenging transitions in order to serve more than 58,000 youth members and 15,000 adult volunteer leaders throughout eastern Missouri and southern Illinois. Increasing collaboration and providing consistent services are critical in serving the Scouting community."
Cloud computing allows companies big and small to gain access to virtualized and dynamically scalable computing resources on an as-needed basis. Many companies move to cloud-based computing to easily and cost-effectively add servers and storage capacity as well as backup data. Often accelerating the growth of cloud computing is the ability for companies to replace old servers with cutting-edge technology and avoid high upfront costs.
