Dating Site for Beautiful People Now Tells Rejects What Makes Them Ugly
- From today, lookist dating site BeautifulPeople.com will tell failed applicants exactly why they were rejected
- The site will provide a feedback report to its rejects, direct from plastic surgeons
- The site's Managing Director hatched idea after getting rejected from his own site
NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- BeautifulPeople.com, the dating app which over the past 15 years has rejected over 9 million people, is today introducing a 'feedback' service and connecting rejects to plastic surgeons and beauty professionals at a discount to help them improve their looks.
The site will tell failed applicants what is wrong with their application photo. Feedback will include suggestions from plastic surgeons on how failed applicants can improve their looks both cosmetically and, in some cases, surgically. Feedback comes with recommendations to transform applicants from an ugly duckling to a swan.
BeautifulPeople has teamed with American board certified, Beverly Hills Plastic surgeon; Linda Li, MD, who is overseeing feedback to applicants. Dr Li is one of the most recognized plastic surgeons in the world after starring in 5 episodes of the television show Dr. 90210.
Greg Hodge, Managing Director of BeautifulPeople believes this is a positive development. Hodge says: "After 8 years of being off the site, I wanted to get back on the 'factory floor' and experience my app as a customer. I thought I'd sail back in without needing to make a special effort with my application. When I couldn't get voted back on, it was a blow. It wasn't good enough to just be told your application wasn't successful, you want to know why."
"I sent my rejected photo to a plastic surgery clinician in Beverly Hills asking for blunt feedback. Constructive criticism can be a bitter pill to swallow but it did me the world of good, it got me voted back into my site and gave me the idea to give the same 'ugly truth' to failed applicants."
Starting today the site offers feedback to BeautifulPeople rejects from plastic surgeon Dr. Linda Li. The site also promises to connect failed applicants with a wider network of plastic surgeons and beauty and health experts.
There is no guarantee after following advice that applicants will get voted back into the site. Acceptance is up to the existing members through a democratic vote and not management.
Dr. Linda Li says: "I am very excited to be partnering with BeautifulPeople in order to provide bespoke feedback to applicants to help them make positive life changes both aesthetically and more importantly to help them increase their confidence and sense of wellbeing."
Hodge continues: "I wish we'd introduced this when we launched. When you think that over the years we've turned away so many millions of people. We could have helped thousands more improve their appearance and self-esteem."
To join BeautifulPeople.com, applicants must supply a recent photograph. Existing members then vote the applicant in or out over a 48-hour period. 1 in 8 applicants are accepted. Once a member, you can attend exclusive parties and events, be discovered by casting agents and mingle with other beautiful people.
