This latest development continues several months of building Datawatch's presence in Europe. Last year Datawatch opened an office in Munich, and has since greatly increased its presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
"Haj is another strong addition to the Datawatch worldwide team," said Michael Morrison, president & CEO, Datawatch. "As we continue to increase our focus on Europe, Haj's leadership will be instrumental to our success. In the past several months, Datawatch has extended its sales and marketing efforts to Benelux and the Nordics, participated as a featured presenter at the BARC Business Intelligence Conference in Wurzburg, Germany and signed a worldwide strategic alliance with Logica through its Stockholm, Sweden office.
"Datawatch's ability to hire well-known industry veterans is a testament to the opportunity in front of us," commented Morrison.
Since joining the company at the beginning of 2012, Muntz has signed a dedicated reseller for Datawatch products in Scotland, Ten-88, and increased the sales team with an eye towards strategic vertical markets.
Prior to joining Datawatch, Muntz served as general manager, France, for Redwood Software. Muntz has extensive experience in the software industry, holding senior positions with Talisma, FFastFill PLC and other organizations. Before entering the software industry, Muntz served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
"I am excited by the opportunity that Datawatch offers," said Muntz. "User generated information is exploding and companies are struggling to make the best business decisions in an environment of information overload. Datawatch not only delivers empowered decision making but also delivers significant cost reductions in the process."
