CHELMSFORD, Mass., Dec. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Datawatch Corporation (NASDAQ-CM: DWCH), the leading global provider of information optimization software and services, and Panorama Software, a global leader in Business Intelligence 3.0 solutions, today announced a strategic alliance targeted at providing users the ability to integrate a greater variety of information, including unstructured and semi-structured data formats and sources, to extend and enhance the value of traditional business intelligence solutions. Through the integration of Panorama's Necto Business Intelligence platform and Datawatch's Information Optimization platform, organizations will be able to more rapidly populate Panorama's BI 3.0 solution with data that might otherwise have been difficult or even impossible to access. These sources include things like reports, PDF files, EDI streams, log files, machine data and - significantly – reports from traditional BI systems.

"We at Datawatch are very excited about this strategic partnership with Panorama and believe that our technologies working together offer tremendous value to customers as they look to leverage more types of information in their business intelligence and Big Data applications," said Ben Plummer, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliances of Datawatch. Mr. Plummer added, "Panorama's paradigm for BI applications, that includes the use of social information and collaboration, is certainly visionary. When you couple those capabilities with the tremendous variety of unstructured and semi-structured data sources that Datawatch's technology platform can make available, it certainly sets the bar much higher for what organizations should expect from their business intelligence and data discovery technologies, which explains why the feedback from clients and industry analysts to this new solution has been so positive."
"This partnership offers our customers the ability to extend their current plans to deploy Panorama to include data sources that they had previously thought were not accessible," said Eynav Azarya, Chief Executive Officer, Panorama Software. "Panorama has always looked to provide innovative new approaches to delivering business intelligence technologies and the inclusion of the unstructured and semi-structured information through our partnership with Datawatch is directly in line with our vision to deliver BI 3.0 to the market."
Datawatch and Panorama will market and sell the joint solution through their respective direct sales and global channel partners – supporting the alliance with joint marketing, services, sales and certification activities to accelerate adoption of this revolutionary BI 3.0 solution. Integration testing has been completed and plans are currently underway to test the joint solution at several customer sites with legacy business intelligence applications serving as data sources.
