Datatrend Technologies to Host 5th Annual Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser to Fight Breast Cancer on Friday, October 24th at 2:00 PM at Country Club Lanes

MINNETONKA, Minn., Oct. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Datatrend Technologies, Inc., a leading technology infrastructure solutions provider, hosts its 5th annual Bowl-a-thon fundraiser to help those fighting breast cancer on Friday, October 24, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Country Club Lanes in Tonka Bay, Minn. 100 percent of event proceeds will benefit Pay It Forward Fund, a Minnesota non-profit organization that helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women's cancers, celebrating their 10^th year. The event promises to be a fun afternoon dedicated to an important cause.

To Bowl and Contribute: Individuals may register to bowl and pledge a flat rate donation, or bowl and pledge by pin fall for a total of 3 games. Free food, bowling and prizes will be provided to all who bowl and pledge.

To Donate: For those who are unable to participate or do not wish to bowl, donations can be made at the event, online, or through the mail.

Pay It Forward Fund is a non-profit organization that helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women's cancers. We use 100% of donations to pay essential living expenses so patients can focus on what's really important - getting well. Pay It Forward Fund was founded in 2005 by a breast cancer survivor. Since then, we've assisted over 1,200 patients, averaging $20,000 per month, having helped patients buy groceries, pay their mortgages, heat their homes, keep their lights and water on, and repair their cars so they can drive to chemo.  This year, to celebrate our 10^th year, we've set a goal of $110,000 from October to February 6^th; our 10^th Annual Casino Night where we collaborate with local businesses and sporting teams to host our biggest fundraising event of the year.  For hundreds of women in need, these gifts make a difference at a time of crisis.
