"The healthcare industry is lacking a unified platform that allows providers to effectively and easily communicate with each other," said Nieto. "The Direct Project was created to change this, and will quickly become as vital to healthcare organizations today as email was to businesses 20 years ago. I joined DataMotion because it is the only company with the 'DNA' and experience to bring the Direct Project to fruition. It's secure messaging solution is the best in the industry and will quickly become the powerful engine that makes the Direct Project run securely, reliably and efficiently."
Nieto has nearly two decades of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to joining DataMotion, he was a Community Strategist at Allscripts™, where he was responsible for expanding the connectivity of healthcare communities and increasing the understanding of electronic health record (EHR) technology across the healthcare continuum. Before Allscripts, Nieto co-founded eMed Consulting Group, LLC to help healthcare organizations in their deployment of EHR systems. Prior to that, he was a Product Manager at Centric Health Finance, where he was charged with leading client practices through technical readiness, data analysis, systems integration and EHR training. Nieto has also worked at CuraScript, Inc., an Express Scripts® company, and Priority Healthcare, among other companies.
Nieto's appointment comes just weeks after DataMotion announced an expansion to its management team with two new healthcare positions. Hugh Gilenson was named DataMotion's director of business development - healthcare, and Shane Kielmeyer signed on as director of healthcare solutions sales.
"DataMotion has been a trusted secure data delivery provider for more than 14 years," said Bob Bales, CEO of DataMotion. "Our healthcare customers have long relied on us to secure protected health information in transit, and, as such, the Direct Project is a natural extension of our secure messaging experience. Bringing Andrew on board is the latest example of our unwavering commitment to investing in the leadership, technology and resources required to bring secure and compliant data delivery to healthcare providers of all sizes."
