OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Data Support Systems, Inc. (DSS), a leading provider of Back Office Payment Automation solutions, today reported 2014 as a year of significant growth in all lines of business.
DSS's TRIPS® product suite, a major player in the overwhelming adoption of Image Check initiatives in the US, continues to expand its core user base while also breaking through some long standing business barriers. In fact, the company reports that TRIPS has evolved into a "core" back office system bringing together and maximizing efficiencies for similar functions in the areas of Exception Item and Return Item processing across all payment types (check, ACH, electronic, image, ATM, credit card, debit card, etc.). In 2014, major new US customers were added to the already impressive TRIPS user list and for the first time, numerous banks in both Canada and the United Kingdom are preparing to go live with components of TRIPS.
Although DSS is proud of the TRIPS solutions standing in the world of Return and Exception item processing and is committed to growing the TRIPS legacy in this area even further, it is in the growing area of Case Management where even greater excitement lies for DSS. With the release of TRIPS Universal Case Management (TRIPS UCM) as the underlying technology of the TRIPS case management suite, the company has been able to deliver groundbreaking capabilities to the common user that have traditionally only been approachable via costly customer development and/or workflow architect staff. UCM solutions have fundamentally raised the bar for all other case management utilities. Both Adjustments and Domestic and International Collections solutions outperformed expectations in 2014 but the hands down leader of the pack has been in the area of Dispute processing.
TRIPS Dispute largely automates the resolution of Regulation E, Regulation Z and other payment related customer challenges. After its initial limited release early last year, TRIPS Dispute has rolled into full production at a number of banks, gone undefeated in competitive bid selection processes and been selected by both a top ten US bank and leading US outdoor sports retailer.
DSS Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Carl A. Bortol, Jr. said "TRIPS UCM and more specifically TRIPS Dispute is changing and improving the way payment disputes are processed. These improvements are greatly overdue and have been well received on every level. TRIPS is bringing unparalleled service, compliance and efficiency improvements in very much the same way our earlier solutions forever improved the way Returns and Exceptions were processed in the 1990's."
What's in store for 2015? Well, DSS has no plans to sit back and admire the accomplishments of the past. The company has already announced plans to deliver its next solution based on the TRIPS UCM foundation and those plans have been very well received. "The most important thing in our business is our customer's ongoing endorsement of our people, products and core values" said Mr. Bortol. "We are humbled and challenged each and every day by the tremendous amount of loyalty we are shown from customers. These customers have many choices when looking for solution partners. Certainly, 2014 was a tremendous year for DSS and we look forward with great anticipation to another year of serving these great customers and friends."
