PASO ROBLES, Calif., Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Adelaida District—DAOU Vineyards & Winery today announced the addition of two veteran wine industry executives to the winery's marketing team—Alexis Walsh as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Isaac Herrera as Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy.
DAOU was founded in 2007 by brothers Georges Daou and Daniel Daou. Their driving vision is to produce California "first growth" wine from DAOU Mountain, fulfilling the Adelaida District's promise as the world's next benchmark for Bordeaux varieties.

Acclaimed wine industry executive Alexis Walsh is taking the helm of DAOU's multifaceted marketing team.

Walsh comes to DAOU from Treasury Wine Estates, where she most recently served as Vice President of commercial strategy and on-premise. She is known for being uniquely skilled at bridging sales, marketing and strategy to achieve powerful business objectives. At Treasury Wine Estates, she drove sustained sales and marketing success while leading a team of 40 professionals spanning trade marketing, customer marketing, marketing services and sales. Prior to that, she spent six years at Trinchero Family Estates, where she had roles in brand management and national account on-premise sales. Walsh holds an M.B.A. from the Walter Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley; and a B.A. in psychology, cum laude, from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

DAOU also announced that Isaac Herrera has joined the team as Vice President of E-Commerce and Digital Strategy.

Herrera is recognized for his skills in DTC sales strategies, go-to-market tactics, digital marketing, strategic partnerships and brand building. Prior to joining DAOU, Herrera served as the VP of digital marketing and e-commerce at King Estate Winery in Eugene, Oregon. There, among other accomplishments, he launched the King Vintners division and NEXT, a partnership with Amazon / Whole Foods. His digital marketing experience also spans positions at Wine Equities, Inc., Treasury Wine Estates and 3 Badge Beverage Corp. He holds a degree in molecular, cellular and developmental biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
