As an intuitive child, Danna had a strong interest and love for crystals and their metaphysical properties. At fifteen she had created a necklace for herself with some found stones, and before she knew it she was selling necklaces to seventeen stores nationwide including Macy's, with features in Seventeen and Redbook Magazines. After attending college to study fashion, Danna became an editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine with bouts at Harper's Bazaar and Vanity Fair. She soon evolved as a recognizable celebrity stylist and was dressing well-known celebrities for events like the Oscars while appearing in the media. Unfortunately, it was during this time Danna fell ill with a fatal bacterial infection from antibiotics.

In seeking help, Danna became reacquainted with the metaphysical world of crystals and gemstones and began practicing the healing art of "the laying on of stones." She was so moved by the healing effects of properly placing the pieces, that she rebirthed her line as Conscious Jewelry, twenty years later.
