LONDON, Aug. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Instructure, a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) company, announced today that Elevtavlen.dk, the first Danish provider of student learning goal systems, has joined as a Certified Partner in Instructure's global partner program. With this partnership, Elevtavlen.dk is building an integration with Canvas, Instructure's innovative, cloud-based learning management system (LMS).
"The partnership with Canvas is a significant leap forward in fulfilling our vision to provide a learning platform that puts a focus on the pupil as the core of education, without overburdening teachers or tutors with bureaucratic and complicated IT systems that get in the way of the learning process," said Jan Frederiksen, co-founder and head of sales at Elevtavlen.dk. "We are also very excited about the openness of Canvas in relation to offering analogue or digital service as required, with access to exactly the resources the teacher deems most appropriate for the individual or entire class."
Canvas is the educational LMS offered by Instructure, the technology company that makes software that makes people smarter. Through open, usable, cloud-based technologies, Canvas connects the content, tools, and services that teachers need and students want in one simple, usable, customizable, adaptable and reliable learning platform.
Elevtavlen was started and developed by two teachers who worked diligently to create a simple and user-friendly student board product to support all learning officers in the Danish elementary school. Part of the new school reform is all about increasing the focus on the individual student's learning and setting clear learning objectives, so students can learn more and the teacher can take a clearer management of teaching when setting goals for education.
By integrating with Canvas, Elevtavlen.dk significantly enhances its users access to an integrated and forward-looking learning platform. Elevtavlen.dk's platform fosters goal-oriented and visible learning by combining its strength as a specialized, dynamic student goal system with Canvas' collection of affiliated learning modules and digital teaching resources.
"We are pleased to have established an integration with Elevtavlen.dk, which we consider to have one of the strongest bids for a digital learning goal system," says Melissa Loble, VP of Partners and Programs at Instructure. "Elevtavlen.dk simply and intuitively lets the teacher set up and share learning goals as required by the curriculum at Danish primary schools."
