Dancing Bear Aspen Sells Out First Phase And Looks Towards Future Construction At New Mountainside Building
Dancing Bear Aspen's Final Phase of Club Construction Symbolizes Reinvigoration For Aspen's Resort Development Community
ASPEN, Colo., July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Following a highly successful sell-out of the first phase of the acclaimed private residence club in Aspen, Colo., Dancing Bear Aspen – A Timbers Residence Club, is launching its second and final phase with the commencement of construction of its Mountainside building. In May 2012, Timbers Resorts was appointed to launch the initial sales and marketing for the residences' first building, acquired by Sunrise Company in February 2012. All available interests sold out in less than two years, representing 28% percent of fractional real estate transactions in Aspen during that time.
Final construction of Dancing Bear Aspen's Mountainside building will start late-summer 2014, symbolizing a reinvigoration of the town's resort community, with the building becoming the first resort development project in Aspen to undergo any construction since the great recession's impact in 2008. The second building features an additional 10 3-bedroom, 3.5 bathroom 1,800 sq. ft. units sold in 1/8th fractional interests starting from $785,000. Additionally, a stunning 3,900 sq. ft. penthouse residence with 4 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and a 2,700 sq. ft. outdoor living space with 360-degree views, offers the largest rooftop deck for a private residence in downtown Aspen. In addition to existing amenities available for owners, new features will include a spa grotto and steam room, underground parking garage, owner ski locker room, reception area, as well as a full service restaurant and bar.
The second building has been designed by O'Bryan Partnership Inc. architects with interior design by NCH Design of Aspen, echoing the lavish mountain-modern style of the original nine residences in the Parkside building.
"Since taking over ownership of Dancing Bear Aspen in 2012, we've been waiting for the moment to bring resort development vitality back to the community. The time will finally come later this summer when construction starts on Dancing Bear's second phase," said Randall Bone, Chief Operating Officer for project developer Sunrise Company. "It's an exciting time for owners and prospective owners of Dancing Bear Aspen, as well as the community of Aspen, as we bring this final phase to completion, offering vitality to this corner of downtown Aspen."
"Dancing Bear Aspen offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of this wonderful mountain community. The success of our first sales phase demonstrates how desirable the Dancing Bear ownership lifestyle is, and we enter into our second and final sales phase with a great deal of interest from prospective Owners," said Keith Marlow, Corporate Sales Director of Timbers Resorts.
