Danaher Announces New Diversified Industrial Growth Company To Be Named Fortive Corporation

WASHINGTON, Dec. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Danaher Corporation (NYSE: DHR) (the "Company") today revealed the name of the new diversified industrial growth company expected to launch in 2016 as Fortive Corporation. Fortive will be comprised of two segments, Professional Instrumentation and Industrial Technologies, and will include market leading brands such as Fluke, Qualitrol, Tektronix, Gilbarco Veeder-Root, Kollmorgen and Matco Tools.

Fortive intends to apply to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange. The Company now expects the spin-off transaction to be completed in the third quarter of 2016.
