Dan Stanek to Develop Health & Wellness Vertical at WD Partners
COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WD Partners announced that Dan Stanek, noted authority in retailing and consumer marketing, has joined the firm's Columbus office as Executive Vice President. In this role, Stanek will be the business vertical leader for Health & Wellness as he develops this growing sector at the firm.
"Dan is a well known expert in our industry and has immense knowledge and passion for customer experience as well as growing a business from the ground up," said Chris Doerschlag, CEO of WD Partners. "His over 30 years of experience across traditional design agencies, tech driven start-ups and consulting firms position him perfectly to drive and grow the Health & Wellness area of our business. In addition to his professional experience, his passion for people and relationships make him a welcome addition to our leadership team."
With a background rooted in consumer behavior & marketing and a success record of establishing and leading expansions within organizations, Stanek is an expert in brand development, customer experience innovation and business development. At WD Partners, he will be directly responsible for the firm's approach to the Health & Wellness vertical including business development, marketing and the customer experience approach within the industry.
"WD Partners is an expert at innovating customer experiences and that is exactly what is needed in the exploding health and wellness industry," said Stanek. "I'm looking forward to building on the firm's success in this arena and providing clients with a unique customer-driven perspective in a historically provider-driven market."
Stanek joins WD Partners most recently from Ologie, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to that, he was President of a startup mobile technology focused on capturing real-time shopping behavior and translating that into personalized shopping. Stanek spent a large portion of his career in retail consulting and experience design, including leading brands like The Home Depot and MillerCoors, as an Executive Vice President at Big Red Rooster. He also held leadership positions at Fitch and RPA. He was an early stage partner and principal for Retail Forward where he established and led the firm's consulting practice resulting in a merger with world-renowned consultancy Kantar Retail. Stanek earned a bachelor's degree and MBA from The Ohio State University.
With the swell of baby boomers, a shift in focus on wellness and major brands taking a more holistic approach to the category, extending into the Health & Wellness vertical is a natural next step for WD Partners. Stanek is poised for success given his entrepreneurial experience and customer driven background coupled with WD's customer experience work for CVS Health and Walmart healthcare.
