Dan McGuckin Named New Operations Manager for Turner Construction Company
Dan McGuckin promoted to Operations Manager
SAN DIEGO, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Construction Company is pleased to announce that Dan McGuckin, LEED AP, has been promoted to Operations Manager for Turner's San Diego office. In this position, Dan will be responsible for employee connectivity and performance, safety excellence, and greater participation in the industry. Dan McGuckin is based in San Diego and is currently directing the $470 million Terminal 2 West Building and Airside Expansion at San Diego International Airport. Prior to this, Dan has held numerous roles on high level projects including Senior Project Manager for the San Diego Convention Center Expansion, Operations Manager for the 55 Airports in the Southwest region of the nationwide Baggage Screening Deployment Program, and Project Executive on several projects including the 1Mission and Aperture condominium projects.
Dan originally joined Turner Construction Company in 1982. He attended Arizona State University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering Management. Dan began his engineering career working on several projects including the Northrop Electronics Hawthorne Manufacturing Facility, the 24-story Burbank Center Office Building, a 400,000 square foot Medical Office Building for Kaiser Permanente, and numerous mission critical projects for the Intel Corporation in Arizona. Dan and his wife Lisa live in Carlsbad, California, where he enjoys travel, boating, and all water-related activities.
