Dan David Launches Wolfpack Research to Expose Fraud and Corporate Wrongdoing

NEW YORK, May 6, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Dan David, a veteran activist short seller who helped lead to the exposure over $15 billion of fraud on U.S. capital markets, is pleased to announce the launch of Wolfpack Research LLC ("Wolfpack"), a new investigative and due diligence firm focused on exposing fraud and corporate wrongdoing at public companies around the globe. Muddy Waters Capital LLC, a leading activist investment firm founded by famed short seller Carson Block, has made an initial investment in in the Wolfpack firm.

Mr. David was most recently the Republican nominee for Congress in Pennsylvania's 4th Congressional District. He was also the lead protagonist in "The China Hustle," an acclaimed documentary produced by Magnolia Pictures that depicts short sellers' efforts to expose the ongoing fraud being perpetrated on U.S. investors by Chinese companies. The film, which Forbes called "The most important film of 2018" also follows Mr. David as he tries to persuade Congress, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other officials to put in place measures to protect U.S. investors. He was also the co-founder of successful investment research firm GEOInvesting.
