Dallas Trial Lawyer Charla Aldous Shares Courtroom Expertise During ABOTA National Trial College at Harvard Law School
DALLAS, July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominent Dallas litigator Charla Aldous recently shared her courtroom knowledge and vast experience with students attending the National Trial College of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) at Harvard Law School.
Ms. Aldous, founder of Aldous Law Firm, was among this year's talented legal practitioners teaching a small group of young lawyers the art of being a successful trial attorney. The intensely rigorous course is designed for those in their third or fourth year as trial lawyers on both sides of the bar and involves five days of instruction, student exercises, critiques and a mock jury trial.
"It was exhilarating and rewarding to be part of this exhaustive program, which has so much to offer these young attorneys. Not only was I able to see growth in these students and their trial skills, I also made lifelong friends," says Ms. Aldous.
The distinguished 18-member faculty included leading trial lawyers and judges from across the country, including several national past presidents of ABOTA.
Ms. Aldous is nationally recognized as a top trial lawyer, amassing verdicts totaling more than $750 million in her 28 years of trying cases that range from complex commercial litigation to sexual abuse. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for more than a decade and twice has been honored by Best Lawyers as Dallas Lawyer of the Year for Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice litigation. An active member of ABOTA, Ms. Aldous is past president of the Dallas chapter and in 2008 was chosen Trial Lawyer of the Year by the group's Texas chapters.
The American Board of Trial Advocates is a national association of trial lawyers and judges committed to preserving and promoting Americans' right to a civil jury trial as provided in the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The Aldous Law Firm represents clients in general civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and wrongful death lawsuits. More information about the firm can be found at http://www.aldouslaw.com.
