DALLAS, June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Increasing its capacity to provide exceptional service for business clients in Texas and throughout the U.S., Dallas' Simon, Ray & Winikka LLP (SRW) is adding highly accomplished courtroom veterans Katie J. Colopy, Jeffrey J. Joyce and Michael L. Rice as partners in Dallas. They join SRW with more than 85 years of combined legal experience.
"Katie, Jeff and Mike significantly increase our experience and expertise overnight," says firm co-founder Craig F. Simon. "Our work has steadily grown since we opened our doors three years ago, and our existing and future clients will greatly benefit from the expertise of these highly respected and talented attorneys."
Ms. Colopy and Mr. Rice join the firm after previously working as partners at Jones Day in Dallas and Houston. Mr. Joyce, also a former longtime Jones Day partner, joins the firm from his recent position as principal, general counsel and chief operating officer for zIngenuity Inc., a mortgage investment, consulting and outsourcing firm.
"This is something of a homecoming since we've worked together on so many matters over the years, and we couldn't be happier," says Ms. Colopy. "Mike, Jeff and I all are looking forward to building on the immense success that Simon, Ray & Winikka already has demonstrated for the firm's clients."

Mr. Joyce joins the firm with years of experience as a general counsel and chief operating officer, in addition to decades of work as a trial lawyer. Relying on a technology-savvy background, he represents clients in disputes involving class actions, product liability, toxic and mass torts, securities law, employment law, fraud allegations, business contracts, franchising agreements and trademark violation claims.
Mr. Rice provides expertise in an array of complex, multijurisdictional litigation, including significant class-action claims. His prior work includes cases involving product liability, personal injury, toxic torts, contracts, business torts, tortious interference, fraud, environmental disputes, and public and private nuisance claims.
