Dahlman Rose & Co. Expands Investment Banking Capabilities in Mining Industry
Appoints William Hunter as Managing Director
NEW YORK, May 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Dahlman Rose & Co., a leading investment bank specializing in the global natural resources supply chain, announced today that it has appointed William Hunter as Managing Director, Investment Banking, effective immediately. In the new position, Mr. Hunter will be responsible for expanding the firm's investment banking practice across the coal, base and precious metals sectors.

Mr. Hunter, 42, has more than 18 years of experience providing financing and advisory services to companies in the mining, industrial and transportation sectors. Throughout his career, he has completed numerous investment banking transactions with a combined value exceeding $20 billion. Prior to joining Dahlman Rose, Mr. Hunter served as Managing Director at Jefferies & Company, where he founded and led the Global Mining investment banking group for the past five years. He has also held senior positions at TD Securities, BMO Nesbitt Burns and NatWest Markets. Mr. Hunter received both a BS in Commerce and an MBA, with distinction, from DePaul University.
In addition to the appointment of Mr. Hunter, Edwin Chapman, Jr. has joined Dahlman Rose as Vice President, Investment Banking, focusing on the coal, base and precious metals sectors. Mr. Chapman previously served as Vice President in the Global Mining investment banking group at Jefferies & Company. Prior to Jefferies, he worked in the Corporate Finance and Advisory Group at Credit Lyonnais and the Global Technology & Aerospace Defense Group at Bear Stearns. Mr. Chapman graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University with a BBA in Finance.
