"The appointment of James Crandell as the Global Head of Oilfield Services Research reaffirms our commitment to build a team of top-ranked analysts dedicated to thought-driven, value-added research," said Simon Rose, Chief Executive Officer of Dahlman Rose. "Dahlman Rose has distinguished itself as a global thought leader in transportation, energy, commodities, and infrastructure sectors through the strategic expansion into interconnected verticals. We are pleased to once again attract an award-winning acclaimed and consistently top-performing analyst in a globally critical sector. The demand for hydrocarbons grows exponentially with the continued trends towards industrialization, urbanization, and 'consumerization,' and these trends have helped to shape the direction of our research product."

Previously, he served as Managing Director at Barclays Capital plc following its acquisition of Lehman Brothers in 2009. Based on the continued increase in E&P spending, combined with the rising price of crude oil, we believe we are on the verge of a sustainable cyclical upturn in the global Oilfield Services industry. I look forward to building the premier franchise for Oilfield Services research at Dahlman Rose and further strengthening the firm's leading reputation across its focus sectors."
