Dahl Administration, LLC: If you bought an Orbit Baby infant or toddler car seat between April 26, 2012 and February 23, 2018, you could be entitled to benefits under a class action settlement
MINNEAPOLIS, March 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alameda County Superior Court recently granted preliminary approval of a settlement in the lawsuit Jordana Lee Kopin v. Orbit Baby, Inc. et al., Case No. RG16813239 (the "Action").
In the Action, plaintiff asserts claims for alleged deceptive and misleading representations that Orbit Baby, Inc. infant and toddler car seat products are free of certain types of flame retardants, including brominated and chlorinated chemicals. Orbit Baby denies all of the allegations in the Action. The court has made no ruling on the merits of the claims or defenses. The court has only preliminarily approved the parties' proposed settlement.
The settlement class is comprised of consumers who (a) purchased a new Orbit Baby, Inc. infant or toddler car seat between April 26, 2012 and February 23, 2018 while residing in the State of California and (b) have not yet received a full monetary refund from Orbit Baby, Inc. for purchase of the car seat. In order to receive a settlement payment, consumers must submit a claim form and provide a copy of the receipt as proof of purchase for each car seat being claimed.
